More than 300 guests attended the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation’s 18th Annual Hamptons Happening, one of the Hamptons’ most-anticipated summer social events. Hosted on the beautiful Bridgehampton estate of Kenneth and Maria Fishel, the beloved event raised $400,000 for groundbreaking cancer research.

November is Gala season in New York City with red carpets and ballgowns at their finest when a philanthropic mission is involved, and this year is no exception. Returning to a live, in-person event to celebrate the breakthrough research in the fight against cancer, more than 700 people attended the aptly themed Together Again event at the iconic Cipriani Wall Street venue.

Collaborating for a cure gala 2019

Gathering at the iconic Cipriani on Wall Street, close to 1,000 guests made the $2,500 a-plate contribution to attend the 22nd annual Collaborating for a Cure Gala on behalf of the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. The foundation known for specializing in innovative research, they are pioneers in the fields related to genetics and metastasis, but most highly praised for their efforts in funding collaborative approach research.

The 15th Annual Hamptons Happening benefitting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation took place Bridgehampton with over 300 attendees.. This year the theme honored luminaries in the world of cuisine, business, and fashion who are supporting the groundbreaking research of the SWCRF. Honorees included Chef Lidia Bastianich, Restaurateur Ian Duke and Iconic Fashion Designer Nicole Miller.

Over 200 of New York’s most notable philanthropists were in attendance to support SWCRF’s fundraising for cutting-edge research focused on shutting down the genetic causes of cancer as Dennis Basso, New York Designer presented a selection of evening wear pieces from his Fall 2019 collection in the residence of Mrs. Susan Gutfreund.
